The Bar Olympics

A few weeks back 8 of the Usual Suspects set out on PWC’s for a ride to Bumps Barefoot Bar located at the three and a half MM on the Gravois arm of the Lake of the Ozarks. Bumps is a great bar with very reasonably priced food and live music on occasion.
We were in luck that night as we entered Mac McDonald was just starting to play. Mac has toured with some well known performers (see his bio) and is more than a little entertaining. Mac has great talent in playing and singing, but his best attribute is getting the crowd involved. And this day was no different.

The Corner Table

Well the party started with the Gilligan’s Island theme song and a trivia question. What was the Skipper’s real name? Well I had been carrying that worthless piece of trivia around in my head for over 40 years and today was the day I cashed in. I thought everyone knew the Skipper’s real name was Jonas Grumby, so I jumped up and answered the question and won a CD as well as getting points for our table.
There were songs to be sung and more questions to answer and in the end, the Corner Table prevailed despite the chick in the hot gold swim suite (Mac must have really liked her as you can see lots of pictures of her on his web page as well as one of Central Patti)

The Gold Medal Winners

A victory lap

Central Patti won a CD for this (Was it worth it?)

A great afternoon indeed, great food, great friends and great fun. Plus we won the gold, you can’t ask for more from a Sunday afternoon than that.
Cheers
The Professor

P.S. If you are riding your wave runner and going 45 and your hat flies off, best to just let it go.
